Protein Rich Chocolate Bars

Ingredients

2 bananas very ripe
1 cup peanut butter unsalted with no sugar added
1 cup chocolate protein powder
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons chocolate chips

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 175°C. Line a 20 cm x 20 cm baking dish with parchment paper.

  • Step 2

    Blend all ingredients except the chocolate in a food processor or blender. Scrape down the sides and blend until smooth.

  • Step 3

    Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish and smooth it into an even layer. The batter will be sticky—wetting a spatula with a little water can help. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.

  • Step 4

    Bake for 30 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool at room temperature for at least 1 hour before slicing into bars.

    Store the bars in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or in the freezer for up to 90 days.
